Brand Timeline
Our brand story:
1987: Lever 2000 soap enters the world, arriving in consumers’ homes along with their Sunday paper. Our message: Lever 2000 soap is ideal for cleaning all your “2000 Body Parts” – for “Hard parts. Soft parts. Tough parts. And Pretty Parts.”
Promoting health in 1994, we tackled the “germs on your hands that come from your nose,” and introduced the Lever 2000 antibacterial soap.
In 1996, we introduced the Lever 2000 body wash.
In 2003, you reached for Lever 2000 to care for the best 2000 parts of yourself, and “the best parts of life.”
As you grew your family, we grew ours. By late 2010 we added Pomegranate & Coconut to our portfolio.
In 2017, we consolidated our portfolio to our core two scents: Original and Aloe & Cucumber. With new packaging and an updated formulation, Lever 2000 reinvented our soaps, bringing you the classic Lever 2000 bar soap with a new look and feel.
Commitment to Sustainability
Because we recognize the importance of preserving natural resources, Lever 2000 and Unilever are engaged in a series of programs designed to address a number of issues concerning the environment. These issues range from biodegradability to recycling. Our company actively participates in industry-wide coalitions and trade associations which are working toward solutions to solid waste problems. We have established a center devoted entirely to the development and testing of new packaging materials and concepts. Company efforts to reduce solid waste include recycling projects, packaging which can be recycled and use of recycled materials. Our scientists are also conducting studies on a broad range of product formulas and ingredients to ensure their environmental compatibility.
